Panel discussions, touring lectures to three of Karachi’s universities and an open house all preempted the culmination of our residency with a group show at Habib University, Karachi.
Bradley and Weaver gave audio visual presentations at Karachi University, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture as well as repeated talks at Habib University where they were in residence. The works created during the residency included a three channel video installation called Karachi Triptych, tactile touch contact nickel boxes made in the style of Pakistan’s famous truck art called Ours Don’t Play in the Streets 1-VI, and a series on paper called Liberated Score I-VII. Of Ours Don’t Play in the Streets, one sold the rest went to UK for a solo show in London, as did the Liberated Score series aside from VI and VII, which were donated to the University at their request.
A further report on the group show can be read here.
